INDIA EXPERIENCING HEAT WAVES - DANGER ZONE
Due to climate change, India is experiencing Heat waves .
This could risk the life of 75% workers experiencing heat-related stress.
In particular, Delhi would face more heatwaves this year.
As per the report, extreme heat could ultimately lead to 15% decline in outdoor working.
This would also reduce the quality of life.
Heatwaves caused more than 24,000 deaths since 1992.
Recently 14 people died in Maharashtra in an award ceremony due to sun stroke.
This was the highest death rates till now .
In 2023, India experienced Hottest February since record keeping 1901.
And April being the country’s third warmest month since 1901.
We gonna experience more Heatwaves this May, Report says.
