King Charles III diagnosed with cancer, Buckingham Palace says

King Charles of Britain is ill and has to postpone his duties while the country prays for a speedy recovery.

LONDON Less than 18 months after taking the throne, Britain's King Charles received a cancer diagnosis, capping more than 70 years of waiting to become a sovereign.

Due to the Palace, the King started "regular treatments" on Monday and would abstain from public obligations during that time.

As per the announcement from Buckingham Palace, King Charles has received a cancer diagnosis.

The nature of the cancer is unknown; however, it was found during his most recent treatment for an enlarged prostate and is not prostate cancer.

The 75-year-o Monarch "remains wholly positiveld about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible," said the statement.
