LABOUR DAY

Labour Day is an annual day to celebrate achievement of workers. Labour Day falls on May 1st.

Before the term Labour day they named the term as “International Worker’s Day” which is much similar.

It’s differ in different countries like USA, Canada, Bangladesh, Australia.

May 1 was selected as the date to commemorate the nationwide strike for an eight-hour day in 1886.

This was started on May 1 and ended as the Haymarket affair in Chicago US.

 On May 1, 1923, it was first observed in India in Chennai, then known as Madras.
