Delhi Man Murders Wife He brought for ₹70,000, Discards Body in Forest
In the city of Delhi, a shocking and brutal case of murder has come to light, where a husband has been arrested for killing his wife in the Fatehpur Beri area. The distressing incident unfolded when the husband, identified as Dharamveer, reportedly brought a woman for ₹70,000 and entered into a marriage with her. However, within a short span of time, he tragically took her life and left her body abandoned in a forested region in southwest Delhi’s Fatehpur Beri, as confirmed by the local police.
The husband, Dharamveer, was apprehended by the authorities, along with two accomplices, Arum and Satyavan, who were found to be involved in the heinous act of murder. Deputy Commissioner of Police Chandan Chowdhary from the southern district revealed that the investigation began after a distress call was received on a Saturday, alerting the police about the discovery of a woman’s body in a forest near the Jheel Khurd border in Fatehpur Beri.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers secured the area and initiated a thorough investigation. Utilizing a combination of technological tracking and manual surveillance, the police identified a suspicious autorickshaw that had been in the vicinity around 1:40 am on the day of the incident. The autorickshaw’s registration number provided a crucial lead, leading to the apprehension of its driver, Arun, a resident of Chhatarpur.
During interrogation, Arun disclosed vital information about the victim, whom he identified as Sweety, the wife of Dharamveer. Arun admitted his involvement in the crime, revealing that he, along with his brother-in-law Dharamveer and Satyavan, both hailing from Nangloi, were responsible for strangulating Sweety near the Haryana border. The trio then proceeded to dispose of her body in the nearby forest.
Further revelations by Arun shed light on the motivations behind this gruesome act. According to Arun, Dharamveer had expressed dissatisfaction with his wife’s behavior, which included repeatedly leaving their home for extended periods without any communication. It was also disclosed that Sweety’s family background and parents were largely unknown, as Dharamveer had entered the marriage by paying ₹70,000 to a third party.
Consequently, in response to this appalling incident, law enforcement has formally filed charges against the suspects under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code. The charges encompass section 302, which pertains to the crime of murder, section 201, related to concealing evidence of an offense or providing deceptive information to shield the wrongdoer, and section 34, addressing the concept of shared intention. The Fatehpur Beri police station is overseeing the investigation into this tragic loss of life. Additionally, the auto-rickshaw that was used in the execution of the crime has been seized by the police as evidence.
In a city marked by diversity and vibrancy, this disturbing event serves as a stark reminder of the dark realities that can unfold. The authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served for Sweety, the victim of this heart-wrenching crime, and to bring the perpetrators to account for their heinous actions.
