In a heartbreaking incident, a 14-year-old Class 9 student in Lucknow tragically passed away after collapsing in his classroom, believed to be due to a heart attack. The young boy, Atif Siddiqui, was a student at City Montessori School in Lucknow’s Aliganj.

According to a report by the Times of India, the incident occurred during a lecture when Atif suddenly collapsed. His teacher, Nadeem Khan, who was present at the time, tried to revive him by performing CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but Atif did not respond.

“We reached out to the school nurse and took him to a nearby private hospital, from where he was referred to KGMU,” Khan explained, as published by TOI.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts made by the doctor to revive him, Atif did not regain consciousness.

The school’s spokesperson, Rishi Khanna, explained the sequence of events, stating, “When the child did not regain consciousness despite the doctor giving him cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) several times, According to IANS, “We were told that the youngster had likely experienced a heart attack and should be brought immediately to Lari Cardiology Hospital.

Atif was rushed to Lari Cardiology Hospital with the help of an ambulance provided by the medical center, with an oxygen cylinder on hand. However, upon arrival at the cardiology emergency department, doctors sadly declared the young boy deceased.

Regarding the exact cause of Atif’s untimely passing, Dr. Akshay Pradhan from KGMU’s cardiology department mentioned that it would be determined in the post-mortem report.

Atif Siddiqui, who had recently celebrated his 14th birthday on September 2nd, was the son of Mohd Anwar Siddiqui and Nighat. He was a twin to his brother Ayaan and had two sisters.
