PM Modi’s Jharkhand Visit: Unveiling Development Initiatives Amidst Election Dynamics
In the coming days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised for a comprehensive two-day visit to Jharkhand, commencing on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he is scheduled to launch a significant Rs 24,000 crore project dedicated to the development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) on the auspicious occasion of ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.’ Alongside this, Modi will initiate the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,’ release the 15th instalment of Rs 18,000 crore under the PM KISAN scheme, and inaugurate and lay the foundation of projects totaling Rs 7,200 crore in the state.
As part of his visit, a meticulously planned roadshow will unfold, with BJP workers and leaders greeting the Prime Minister at 10 locations along the route, including prominent spots like Birsa Chowk, Harmu Chowk, and Ratu Road Roundabout: Key Stops on PM Modi’s Jharkhand Roadshow.

On the following day, Modi is set to visit Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park-cum-Freedom Fighter Museum in Ranchi, followed by a visit to Ulihatu village in Khunti district, the birthplace of Birsa Munda, where floral tributes will be paid to the freedom fighter. This visit marks a historic moment, as Modi becomes the first Prime Minister to visit Ulihatu.
Participating in a program commemorating the third ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ in Khunti, the Prime Minister will launch the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and the Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups Mission. Additionally, he will release the 15th instalment of PM-KISAN and inaugurate and lay the foundation of various projects in Jharkhand.
While the BJP gears up for a grand gala, appealing to the public to create rangolis and shower petals in a symbolic red carpet welcome, criticisms have emerged from the Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Both have raised concerns over the timing of Modi’s visit amid elections in five other states, alleging a strategic move to sway tribal voters in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, both heading to polls on November 17.
