Super Star Krishna is no more
Superstar Krishna died today morning while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Krishna suffered a massive cardiac arrest yesterday morning and his family members admitted him to a private hospital in Hyderabad.
Krishna Family:
Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, better known as Krishna, was born on May 31, 1943, to Ghattamaneni Raghavaiah Chaudhary and Nagaratnamma. Superstar Krishna was married to Indira Devi before marrying Vijaya Lakshmi. Krishna is the father of five children: Ramesh Babu, Mahesh Babu, Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadarshini. Krishna’s wife, Vijaya Nirmala, died in 2019. His elder son, Ramesh Babu, died in January 2022.
Super Star Career:
Krishna is well known in Tollywood industry as a Actor, Director, Producer Krishna who acted in more than 350 films in his career. He received the Padmabhushan award form Indian Government towards his contributions he made to Cinema. He established Padmalaya Studios in 1971 and produced many movies. In those days he was the first person to introduce 70mm films and CinemaScope in Tollywood Industry. He directed almost 16 movies in film industry.
Krishna’s first movie Kula Gothralu, a movie was released in the year 1961. Krishna, who used to do supporting roles for years, have emerged in TFI in a lead role for the first time, in the movie Thene Manasulu. His film Sakshi was the turning point in Krishna’s career. The movie received favorable reviews at the Tashkent Film Festival.

Political Career:
Krishna was a close follower of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and a supporter of the Congress Party. Krishna entered politics in 1984 and was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Elluru Parliamentary Constituency in 1989.
In 1989, he was defeated in the same constituency. Krishna retired from politics after Gandhi’s death.
