L’Oréal’s new Hyderabad centre is set to open this year, creating jobs and boosting local innovation.

Hyderabad is set to become a global hub for beauty technology as L’Oréal announced plans to establish its first-ever Global Capability Centre (GCC) in the city, with the inauguration scheduled for November 2026. The announcement, made on Wednesday, January 21, underscores Hyderabad’s growing appeal as a destination for global enterprise and innovation. According to the Telangana government, this facility will be the world’s first GCC dedicated to beauty-tech, signaling a significant milestone both for L’Oréal and the region.

The decision follows a productive meeting between a Telangana government delegation, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and L’Oréal’s top leadership at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The delegation met with L’Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus, who expressed enthusiasm about the Hyderabad project and its potential to transform the company’s operations globally.

In a statement released by the Telangana CM’s office, the CEO highlighted the scale and ambition of the new centre. It will support our digital transformation, AI, and analytics initiatives worldwide, while further cementing Hyderabad’s status as a key center for international business,” the statement said.

The Telangana government also extended a formal invitation to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister D. Sridhar Babu to attend the GCC inauguration later this year. The delegation emphasized Hyderabad’s advantages as an investment destination, assuring L’Oréal of full governmental support to ensure smooth operations and growth.

During discussions, the team also introduced L’Oréal to the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH). Hieronimus reportedly expressed strong interest in the hub, noting its potential alignment with L’Oréal’s technology and innovation initiatives.

The Hyderabad GCC is expected to create numerous opportunities for professionals in AI, data analytics, and digital transformation, while reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a global innovation ecosystem. The centre will not only bolster L’Oréal’s technological capabilities but also contribute to Hyderabad’s emergence as a leading destination for high-tech, beauty-focused enterprise operations.
