‘Adipurush’ to be banned, the cinema employees’ union is pleading with the PM, and they want a case to be made against the producers.
Since the movie’s theatrical release, Adipurush has generated controversy. In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the All-India Cine Workers Association is pleading with him to cease showing the movie and to ban it. Additionally, it has asked the police to take the film crew to action.
Since it first opened in cinemas, Adipurush has been the target of criticism from the public and moviegoers. Audiences have been giving everything poor ratings, from the language to the VFX. The Om Raut-directed movie is being banned from theatres because of all the controversy it has generated.
The Ramayana-based film, in the opinion of AICWA, “clearly” insults his resemblance of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman and offends the “religious sentiments of Hindus and Sanatan Dharma.”
In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the All-India Cine Workers Association begged him to “stop showing the film and immediately order a ban on Adipurush screening in the theatres and OTT platforms in the future.”
The organization’s members also stated in the letter that they demand an FIR filed against the film’s producers, dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla, and director Om Raut.
They said that the speech and script of the film “clearly defame the image of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman.” The religious sensibilities of Hindus and Sanatan Dharm are offended by Adipurush’s film. No matter what religion a person practices, Prabhu Sri Ram is a deity to every one of India. This film portrays Lord Ram and even Raavan, who resembles a video game character, with hurtful rhetoric that affects every Indian in the nation and beyond the world.
Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and actor Prabhas shouldn’t have been a part of the most immoral film in Indian cinematic history. Adipurush is a total failure for our confidence in Ram and the Ramayana.
Adipurush, a movie by Om Raut, has been widely criticized, protested, and banned, which has significantly lowered its box office performance. Adipurush only managed to bring in a pitiful 20 crore on Monday, a day that is vital for determining a movie’s success. Before that, the film made 340 over the course of a weekend.
