Hyderabad: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Saturday, August 29, expelled party leader Mirza Rahmath Baig with immediate effect and directed him to resign from the Telangana Legislative Council.
The action was announced through a brief press release issued by AIMIM joint secretary SA Hussain Anwar. The statement said Baig had been expelled from the party and instructed to immediately submit his resignation to the Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council.
