Amit Shah will launch the BJP’s “Rath Yatra” in election-bound Tripura on January 5.
According to a party leader on Friday, Tripura, whose assembly elections are scheduled for early next year, will host the start of the BJP’s “Rath Yatra,” which would be flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
According to the report, he stated that the eight-day yatra will be flagged off from Dharmanagar in the North Tripura district.
On the same day, Shah will also hold a rally in Sabroom, South Tripura district, according to BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee.
JP Nadda, the national president of the BJP, will take part in the event in Tripura on January 12, which is the final day of the yatra.
According to reports, the ruling party has renamed the “Rath Yatra” as the “Jana Viswas Yatra.”
“The party anticipates connecting with almost 10 lakh people during the ‘Jana Viswas Yatra,’ as it will travel through all 60 of the state’s assembly districts. To highlight the welfare initiatives of the federal and state governments, there will be 200 rallies and more than 100 processions, according to the BJP state chief.
At least ten union ministers, chief ministers of states where the BJP is in power, and central officials are anticipated to participate in the “Rath Yatra,” he continued.
Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, Sushanta Chowdhury, the state’s minister of information and cultural affairs (ICA), called the planned “Rath Yatra” one of the biggest political programmes of the ruling party and claimed that the saffron camp has “already geared up to make the event a big success.”
Nadda, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma, and former CM Biplab Kumar Deb will all speak at a rally in Agartala where the ‘Rath Yatra’ will come to an end.
