Approximately Rs. 300 crores worth of irregularities have caused Chitrapuri Hosing Society to become a hotbed of fraud, Dr. K. Narayana, national secretary of the CPI, demanded.
It was claimed that the housing society’s lands were illegally mortgaged, the funds were misappropriated, and commissions were paid at will under the guise of advances in crores. Those unrelated to the film business were also awarded membership in the society and given access to flats and villas.
In response to a complaint from the film industry, CPI Telangana State Secretary Koonanneni Sambasiva Rao, CPI Rangareddy District Secretary Palmakula Jangaiah, and renowned filmmakers Maddineni Ramesh Babu and Dr. K. Narayana Hyderabad visited Chitrapuri Colony in the Manikonda Municipality on Friday.
They looked over the duplex homes, apartments, and villas that were finished and still being erected. At this time, the CPI team received hundreds of complaints regarding the Chitrapuri Hosing Society’s anomalies from cinema professionals and artists.
On this incident, Narayana claimed that six row homes had been built without layout authorization. Manikonda municipal officials asked that those responsible for this immediately face criminal charges, even though the court had already seized the homes.
He claimed that it is against cooperative law to burden twenty lakh members even after their membership has been rejected by the general meeting while purchasing 4.5 acres of land for 22 crores at a 24% interest rate. We will soon take a step toward solving the issue with the concerned ministers, Narayana said, and they will make sure that no injustice is done to the film workers. The government should act right away and dissolve the current committee and establish a PIC.
Koonanneni Sambasiva Rao claimed that communists also contributed to the establishment of Chitrapuri for film employees. He warned that anyone responsible for irregularities will face punishment because the Communist Party does not stand by and allow such behaviour to occur.
They promised to assist you in a way that will bring happiness to the residents of Chitrapuri by exerting pressure on the government and claiming that they will be freed immediately if the members of Chitrapuri paid the society 720 crores for the construction project of 579 crores. However, the constructions have not yet been completed if the members of Chitrapuri paid 720 crores to the society, and the 150 crore balance work still means that Chitrapuri has been completely swallowed by the whales.
