Congress MP’s comment about Modi’s visit to Bengal: “Settlement with Mamata…”
The Vande Bharat Express, which runs from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in West Bengal on Friday. He will also lay the cornerstone for several railway projects and dedicate them to the nation.
Congressman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary stated on Thursday that he has never heard of a prime minister launching a train before the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to West Bengal to launch a number of projects and the seventh Vande Bharat express.
“Tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Howrah to officially launch the Vande Bharat train. We’ve never heard of a PM kicking off a train. The leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha added, “I was also the minister of the railways, but PM Manmohan Singh did not inaugurate any train.
In reference to the most recent meeting between Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, and Union home minister Amit Shah, Chowdhury asserted that the prime minister is in the region to “arrange a settlement” with the Trinamool Congress leader. The Lok Sabha member predicted that following PM Modi’s visit, the central agencies’ probes on Banerjee will slow down.
“Amit Shah just visited Bengal. To prepare a settlement with Mamata, Modi ji is travelling. According to the sources, it will cause the CBI, ED, and investigations (against Mamata Banerjee) to stall down.

The other railway projects include the Dankuni-Chandanpur Fourth Line Project, developed at a cost of 565 crore, the Nimtita-New Farakka Double Line, developed at a cost of 254 crore, and the Ambari Falakata-New Maynaguri-Gumanihat Doubling Project, developed at a cost of more than 1080 crore.
Additionally, as part of the National Mission for Clean Ganga, the prime minister will officially break ground on and dedicate to the country numerous sewer infrastructure projects for West Bengal. The National Ganga Council’s second meeting would then be presided over by him.
