Dinesh Phadnis brought humour and innocence to his portrayal of CID officer Fredericks alongside Shivaji Satam and Aditya Shrivastava on CID. Reflecting on how he secured the role, Dinesh shared in an interview, “I remember a time when I was grappling for roles, and in my quest for work, I happened to meet B P Singh, the producer of CID. Whether it was pure luck or coincidence, I cannot say. Eventually, he asked me if I’d like to join CID, and that marked the beginning of my journey. Later, I also took up Aahat.”

He added, “Initially, the show lacked humour entirely. Hence, I was chosen to provide the much-needed comic relief. I must say, I received a fantastic response from the audience,” as he expressed to Telly Chakkar.

When contacted by ETimes TV, Dinesh Phadnis’s close friend and co-star Dayanand Shetty confirmed the heartbreaking news, stating, “Yes, it’s true; he is no more.

It must be challenging to be at his residence during such a difficult time. If there’s anything you need or want to talk about, I’m here for you.
