Film Reviews are no longer allowed on the premises of Prasad Multiplex
The prohibition of film reviews on days when new films are released was declared by a Prasad’s Multiplex official, who also tweeted a picture of the shuttered gates.
Hyderabad: Prasad’s Multiplex in Hyderabad has made the decision to restrict film reviews on its property. The choice was made following an argument between a few moviegoers that started when one of them shared a critical review of a film they had just seen at the multiplex.
When a movie buff expressed his or her disappointment with a recently released film on June 16 (Friday), a few others who were in the theatre attacked the reviewer physically.
Security guards were needed to step in because the confrontation suddenly became violent. Due to this regrettable incident, the management of Prasad’s Multiplex has decided to impose a ban on movie reviews on their property.
Every Friday, shortly after the premiere of new films, media outlets, and YouTube channels collect public movie reviews at Prasad’s multiplex. This procedure made it possible for fans and casual viewers to express their ideas.
In contrast, a representative from Prasad’s Multiplex announced the restriction on movie reviews and uploaded a picture of closed gates to signify the end of media access on days when new films are released.
