Every year, the Navy Day is observed to honour the successes of “Operation Trident” during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
The Navy Day celebrations will take place outside of Delhi for the first time. The “Guest of Honor” for the “Operational Demonstration” at Visakhapatnam, which will showcase the naval combat prowess, is President Droupadi Murmu. The day is observed annually to commemorate the accomplishments of the Indian Navy in “Operation Trident” during the Indo-Pak War of 1971.
Leading the nation in greetings were Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. “Happy Navy Day to all of the sailors and their families! We in India are proud of our long maritime heritage, PM Modi wrote on Twitter, adding that the Indian Navy has consistently defended our country and stood out for its humanitarianism in trying circumstances.” Along with the images uploaded on Twitter, the prime minister also posted an audio message.
Additionally posting a video to Twitter, Rajnath Singh, the minister of defence, wrote: “Greetings on Navy Day to all members of the @IndianNavy. By guaranteeing flawless maritime security, the Indian Navy is at the forefront of maintaining the security of our nation. The nation is proud of the Indian Navy’s bravery, dedication, professionalism, and valour “.
Admiral Hari Kumar, the Chief of Naval Staff, was cited as stating in a message broadcast by the Navy: “We reaffirm our steadfast dedication to uphold, defend, and advance our national interests as well as our continued readiness for conflict and our ability to function well into the future. We honour the heroic sacrifices made by our brave hearts and express our thanks to our veterans.”
President Murmu and other dignitaries will be welcomed by the Chief of the Naval Staff at the Navy Day celebrations in Vishakhapatnam. “The capability and adaptability of the Indian Navy would be displayed by its ships, submarines, aircraft, and Special Forces from the Eastern, Western, and Southern Naval Commands. The celebration will conclude with a ceremony at dusk and illumination from ships in port “The administration issued a statement. The statement said, “The Navy Day activities are intended to create wider outreach, refresh marine awareness among our citizenry, and highlight the Navy’s contributions to national security.
