Former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Arrest Sparks Controversy
Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and leader of the Telugu Desam Party, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has been at the center of controversy following his arrest and subsequent shift to Vijayawada. Naidu claims that the state government Is using repressive tactics against him as he continues to advocate for the issues faced by ordinary citizens.
The tension escalated when Naidu was taken into custody in Nandyal and then transported to Vijayawada. During a press address prior to his arrest, Naidu expressed his concern over the lack of information provided by the CID teams regarding the reasons behind his arrest. It’s worth noting that local party leaders were also detained prior to Naidu’s arrest, and police forces from various districts, including Anantapur and Kurnool, were deployed to Nandyal as a preventive measure.
