Iran Strikes Israel Again; 8 Dead, Dozens Injured.
Iran Launches New Wave of Missile Attacks on Israel; 8 Killed Amid Escalating Conflict
Tensions in the Middle East escalated sharply as Iran launched a fresh wave of ballistic missile attacks on Israel in the early hours of Monday. The strikes targeted key Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, killing at least eight people and leaving dozens more injured. The latest attack marks a significant intensification of hostilities between the two nations, following a string of deadly assaults in recent days.
According to Israeli emergency services, multiple explosions were reported in central and northern Israel, causing widespread panic and damage. Emergency sirens wailed throughout the night as civilians sought shelter amid the bombardment. Rescue teams rushed to affected areas, pulling survivors from the rubble and treating the wounded on-site.
This retaliatory strike by Iran came just hours after Israel carried out another round of bombing in Tehran, which reportedly targeted Iranian military and intelligence facilities. The Israeli attack killed more than 220 people, including 70 women and children, according to Iranian state media. Among the dead were several high-ranking officials, including the intelligence chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and two other senior generals.
The latest round of violence follows days of mounting tension, with both nations engaging in tit-for-tat military actions. Iran’s leadership vowed to avenge the deaths of its top commanders, calling the Israeli assault on Tehran an act of “state terrorism.” Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared that the “Zionist regime will face consequences” for the attack.
Israel, on the other hand, has maintained that its strikes are a direct response to Iran’s ongoing support for militant groups operating along its borders and its suspected nuclear ambitions. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on the international community to stand with Israel and condemn Iran’s aggression.
World leaders have expressed growing concern over the spiraling conflict, warning that continued escalation could plunge the region into full-scale war. The United Nations has called for an immediate ceasefire and urged both sides to return to diplomatic channels.
As missiles continue to rain down and casualties rise, millions across the region are bracing for further violence in what is fast becoming one of the most dangerous flashpoints in recent Middle Eastern history.
