JEE Main 2024 Document Checklist
JEE Main 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is a crucial entrance exam for aspiring engineering students. To ensure a smooth application process, it’s essential for candidates to prepare and have the necessary documents ready when applying on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Main 2024 will be conducted in two sessions, with the first session scheduled from January 24 to February 1, 2024, and the second session from April 1 to 15, 2024. The examination will be computer-based, and candidates need to meet specific document requirements to complete their applications successfully.
Here’s a rundown of the documents you’ll need to apply for JEE Main 2024, based on the information from previous years:
Scanned Photograph: You’ll need a recent photograph that should be either in color or black and white. The photograph should have at least 80% of your face visible (without a mask), including your ears. The picture should be taken against a white background.
Scanned Signature: Prepare a scanned image of your signature. Make sure it’s clear and easily visible.
Scanned PwD Certificate (if applicable): If you fall under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category, you should have a scanned copy of your PwD certificate ready.
Category Certificate (if applicable): Depending on your category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, etc.), you might need a scanned copy of your category certificate.
Here are some important points to consider when uploading these documents:
Ensure that your scanned photograph and signature are in JPG/JPEG format only.
Both the photograph and signature should be clearly visible.
The scanned photograph should have a file size between 10 kb to 200 kb.
The scanned signature should have a file size between 4 kb to 30 kb and should be clearly visible.
If you’re providing a scanned copy of the category and/or PwD certificate, it should be in PDF format, with a file size between 50 kb to 300 kb, and must be clearly visible.
It’s important to note that using or uploading someone else’s photograph, signature, or certificates, or tampering with your admit card, result, or scorecard, will be considered as Unfair Means (UFM) Practices and can lead to severe consequences.
To ensure a hassle-free application process for JEE Main 2024, candidates should gather these essential documents in advance and ensure they meet the specified size and format requirements. Additionally, it’s crucial to follow the guidelines regarding photograph quality and background to avoid any complications during the application process.
By being well-prepared and adhering to these document-related guidelines, aspiring engineers can focus on their exam preparations and successfully complete their JEE Main 2024 applications.
