On Monday, the general body meeting of Leomiridin Employees Union was held in Himayatnagar, Makhdam Bhavan under the chairmanship of union secretary Venkat. Balamallesh participated as the chief guest and gave a speech. Continuing his speech, he said that Leomeridine Infrastructure Projects and Hotels in Bommarasi village used to provide employment to around 3 thousand workers living in the surrounding villages like Bommarasi Peta, Upperpally, Sameerpet etc. in 2016. He said that 1500 people were working in the hotel offering and more than 1500 people were working in the construction sector. K. Damodar Reddy’s followers have expressed their concern that even during the time of Covid, due to the harassment and harassment of workers, 10,000 workers and the projects going towards providing employment to employees have been stopped. The workers feel that illegal cases are being filed against the workers and they are being harassed all the time. N. Balamallesh appreciated that all the workers and employees have come forward to form a union and fight unitedly for the rights of the workers.

Hyderabad City CPI Secretary E.T. Narsimhma’s speech demanded that the police take immediate action against K. Damodar’s followers who were harassing the workers. He said that the Communist Party will stand for the rights of the workers in the future. Medchal district AITUC leaders Shankar Rao, District Secretary of Agricultural Labor Union T. Shankar, Mahila Samakhya District Secretary J. Lakshmi, Leomeridine Employees Union President Kethuri Ramakrishna Rao, Vice President Ajay Kumar, Secretary Venkat, General Secretary Bonthula Komala Union Leaders Shekhar, Krishna Reddy and others were present.

The meeting decided that after November 20, the union would meet once again to formulate future course of action.
