In some locations, routes have also been altered for security concerns.
Infrastructure projects in Maharashtra are being finished quickly since the election of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to office. The Mumbai Metro now has two more lines ready for opening. India is where these metro trains are made. These roads’ foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015.

From Andheri to Dahisar, DN Nagar is connected by Line-2A. Dahisar East and Andheri East are connected by Line-7.

Both of these routes have project costs of about Rs 12,600 crore. Dahisar East and Andheri West are connected by metro route 2A (the yellow route), which is 18.6 kilometres long. Phase II covers 8 stations over a distance of 9 kilometres between Andheri West and Valani. Dahisar East and Andheri East are connected by Metro Line 7. Its length is roughly 16.5 kilometres.
Mumbai residents would profit from the metro lines after they are inaugurated because they are predicted to reduce traffic on Link Road and the Western Express Highway, two of Mumbai’s main thoroughfares.
In its second phase, which spans 5.2 km from Goregaon East to Gundawali, there will be 4 stations. Two metro lines would have a new interchange station at Gundawali, Andheri East, and Andheri West, according to MMRDA officials.
The public can use both metro lines starting on January 20. Line 2A’s earliest and last trains would depart from Andheri West station at 6 am and 9.24 pm, respectively. Similar to this, line 7’s first and last trains will depart from Gundawali station at 5.55 am and 9.24 pm, respectively. The cost of the 3-kilometre ticket is Rs. 10. So, there will be an additional fee after 3 km.
The 35 km elevated route that these 2 lines of metro trains will travel on will have 22 rakes and a total of 30 elevated stations. Both of Mumbai’s metro lines cross two of the city’s main thoroughfares. Three to four lakh passengers per day are anticipated to use these metro lines. As a result, fewer vehicles will use these busy roadways. decreases crowdedness in the current local trains.
