Owaisi Criticizes BJP Over Mosque Survey, Highlights National Issues

The court’s directive has sparked controversy, with Owaisi alleging that such actions are politically motivated and aimed at diverting attention from the pressing issues facing the country.

Targeting the BJP, Owaisi said that raising communal and religious controversies only serves to weaken the nation, which is already grappling with significant challenges like inflation, unemployment, and the ongoing crisis in the agricultural sector.

Owaisi pointed out that inflation has been steadily rising, affecting millions of households across the country. Essential commodities have become increasingly unaffordable, and the government’s inability to control prices is causing widespread distress among citizens.

Unemployment, another major concern highlighted by Owaisi, continues to plague the nation, particularly among the youth. The lack of job opportunities has led to frustration and hopelessness, with many young people unable to secure stable employment even after obtaining higher education. Owaisi questioned the government’s efforts to address this crisis, urging them to focus on creating jobs and boosting economic growth.

The AIMIM leader also drew attention to the alarming rate of farmer suicides across India. Despite promises of support and relief, the agricultural sector remains in distress, with many farmers burdened by debt and struggling to sustain their livelihoods. The government must prioritize their welfare instead of fueling communal tensions,” Owaisi emphasized.

He warned that the constant focus on religious and communal issues could lead to further polarization of society, ultimately weakening the social fabric of the nation. Owaisi urged the BJP-led government to shift its attention to resolving the real problems that affect the lives of ordinary citizens.

“This country needs unity, not division. We must work together to address inflation, unemployment, and the plight of farmers if we want to build a stronger, more prosperous India,” he concluded.

Owaisi Slams Court-Ordered Survey of Sambhal Mosque, Raises Concerns Over Religious Controversies

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has questioned the rationale behind a court order mandating a survey of a Mughal-era mosque in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Owaisi pointed out that the original petition only sought access to the mosque, raising concerns over why a structural survey was ordered. He warned that such decisions could set a dangerous precedent, potentially leading to similar claims on other religious sites.

Owaisi asked, emphasizing that such actions could lead to increased communal tensions. He referred to the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991, which mandates that the religious character of a place must remain as it was on August 15, 1947. The 1991 Act was enacted to prevent exactly this kind of situation,” he said.

Owaisi’s remarks come amid growing concerns over religious controversies, particularly after similar claims were made regarding the Ajmer Dargah in Rajasthan. Several opposition leaders have criticized the BJP-led government for allegedly encouraging such disputes to divert attention from critical national issues like inflation, unemployment, and farmer distress.

Owaisi also took a jibe at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the BJP over their stance on population control policies. Responding to a question on government schemes being restricted to those with two or fewer children, he sarcastically suggested that RSS members should prioritize marriage and family life.

“Now those in the RSS should start marrying. Their MPs are saying that people with more than two children should be denied government benefits. They should stick to one policy and lead by example,” Owaisi remarked, highlighting the perceived contradictions in the BJP’s approach to population control and family welfare policies.

The AIMIM leader warned that the continued focus on religious and historical disputes could lead to further polarization of society, distracting from the real issues affecting citizens. He urged the government and judiciary to respect the 1991 Act and avoid stoking communal tensions for political gain.
