The seers are expected to receive a warm welcome from the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who will preside over the ‘yagna’ – a sacred ritual – to formally install the statue of the revered philosopher and advocate of Advait Vedanta philosophy from the eighth century.

Adding to the grandeur of the event, traditional Shaiva dancers hailing from different corners of the country will grace the occasion with their performances. Among these, the “Shivoham” dance, set to the resonant verses composed by Adi Shankaracharya himself, promises to be a highlight.

Chief Minister Chouhan, after a high-level official meeting held in Bhopal, has been diligently overseeing the preparations for this significant unveiling. On the occasion, he will also lay the foundation for Advait Lok, a corridor dedicated to promoting the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya.

The event will feature various religious festivals and rituals, reflecting the deep spiritual significance of Adi Shankaracharya’s legacy. Furthermore, two books authored by Acharya Shankar will be unveiled during this historic gathering.

Originally scheduled for September 18, the unveiling of the monumental statue was postponed to September 21 due to heavy rainfall that affected the region. In the days leading up to the event, the site has been abuzz with prayers and rituals, creating an atmosphere of profound spirituality and reverence.

This monumental event marks not only the physical presence of the towering statue of Adi Shankaracharya but also a spiritual and cultural celebration of his timeless teachings. It stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of this great philosopher and the profound impact of Advait Vedanta philosophy, uniting thousands in a moment of deep spiritual significance and oneness.
