A medical examination was done and it revealed that the 3-year-old had burnt marks on her private parts and that the accused used cigarettes to harm the child. The girls and their identities were not revealed for their safety reasons and the police are still trying to find information about their parents and how they ended up at the doctor’s.
Wailul Islam, Sangeetha, and Lakshmi are all taken into custody by the Guwahati police and were produced at the Guwahati’s chief judiciary magistrate’s court on Sunday. The court had sent both the doctors to five-day police custody and their maid to seven-day judicial custody.
