Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, stated during a press conference on Sunday that Aero India 2023 will demonstrate the nation’s manufacturing ability and the advancements made towards achieving the PM’s goal of an “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (self-sufficient India). According to him, the occasion would greatly advance the aerospace and aviation industries. Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai claimed that Bengaluru in particular will soon be able to produce its own aircraft. PM Modi says “AeroIndia” “reflects the new approach of New India.”

“Bengaluru’s sky is starting to bear witness to New India’s potential. The sky over Bengaluru bears witness to the fact that New India is as it is at its new height. The country is reaching new heights and even crossing it today “At the launch of Aero India-2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the crowd during the Aero India-2023 opening ceremony and said: “Bengaluru’s skies are evidence of a developing India. The fact that so many nations participated demonstrates how highly the world regards India. The CEOs’ roundtable and the conference of defence ministers have been scheduled for the Aero India show, which will expand India’s worldwide potential.

Aero India used to only be a show, but it is now one of India’s greatest strengths. We currently export defence gear to 75 different nations. We used to import a lot of defence, but now we export defence. The private sector should now step up and make investments in the defence industry.”

“Today, India serves as more than just a global market for defence firms. India might be a defence partner. This cooperation includes nations that are well advanced in the defence industry and that are searching for a trusted partner to meet their needs. AeroIndia is a reflection of New India’s new strategy. At one point, people just saw it as a performance. This perception has altered in recent years across the country. Today, it represents not only India’s power but also a display. It emphasises the size and assurance of India’s defence sector, “Prime Minister remarked.
