Army assault on perpetrators of the Dhangri terror incident results in the deaths of 2 terrorists
Last Sunday, alleged Jaish terrorists killed four civilians in a targeted attack in Rajouri’s Dhangri. In the same home where the shooting took place, two children perished in an IED explosion a day later. Seven people have now died as a result of injuries as of Sunday.
As part of its efforts to find individuals responsible for the Dhangri killings, the Indian Army killed two terrorists on Saturday evening in the Balakot area of Mendhar in J&K.
According to the Army, the entire region has been cordoned off and anti-terror operations are in progress.
The security forces have stepped up their crackdown to apprehend the terrorists responsible for the twin terror assaults that killed six civilians, including children, over the course of two days in Rajouri’s Dhangri hamlet.
Two alleged Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists opened fire at three residences that were 50 metres apart from one another, killing four civilians. The day after the shooting, an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion at the home claimed the lives of two kids, ages four and sixteen.
Seven people were killed in the terror assault on Sunday after an injured man named Prince passed away from his injuries while receiving care at the GMC in Jammu. The deceased was Deepak Kumar’s brother, who perished on January 1 during the attack.
Following a rise in targeted killings in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) decided to deploy at least 18 companies of the Central Reserve Police Force in Rajouri and Poonch to speed up anti-terror operations.
In order to conduct a preliminary investigation into the killings that have caused such a ruckus in the Valley, a team of investigators from the National Investigation Agency visited the village of Dhangri. Anyone who provides information on the attackers will receive a reward of 10 lakh rupees from the J&K Police.
