Today’s active cases make up 0.15% of the total cases India saw. As of now from all states, it is recorded that Punjab has the most death rate i.e., 2.45%. While the total death count in India is 5,31,230. Today’s recovery rate is at 98.67% with 10,827 discharged from the hospitals and declared covid free.

It has to be taken into consideration that cases are rapidly increasing it is better for people to start working on keeping themselves safe from the virus. A virus is a type of micro-organism that can evolve and mutate in accordance with the host’s body, its temperature, and sometimes with climatic conditions too. Mutation means the virus and its variants undergo genetic changes and form new genomes that might be more powerful than the previously existing variants. When mutation happens, the parent body makes sure to give enough changes in the new variant to tackle the tough conditions.

Slowly the virus might become vaccine resistant because we are already seeing fully vaccinated people also getting infected by the virus. The new variant that is causing the surge right now is the XBB.1.16 which is a new mutation of the previous covid variants. This virus is faster and a bit stronger but cannot survive much longer if proper care is taken. So get vaccinated and build a strong immune system.

Covid is also suspected to be the long-term cause of heart attacks, which is speculation and is yet to be proven. A committee of medical researchers has been appointed to work on knowing the relationship between covid and the growing number of heart attacks; reports say that the research will end in two to three months and hence we have to wait for three months to learn the results.

A total of 2,866 vaccinations are done today adding up to 2,20,66,28,332 total vaccinations done to date. Get vaccinated along with a booster dose and avoid using medicines without a doctor’s advice. Vaccines are better when compared to medicines and hence get vaccinated with all necessary precautions.
