SACHIN CELEBRATED HIS 50TH BIRTHDAY ON MONDAY; FANS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD SHOWER WISHES

Master Blaster – this is what his fans call him. Indian cricket fan’s dearest player Sachin Tendulkar turned 50 today (24-04-2023).

Sachin was born in 1973, on April 24, in Dadar, Mumbai, to a Brahmin Maharashtrian family. His parents were Ramesh Tendulkar and Rajni. Sachin’s career in cricket started when he was just 11. On November 15, 1989, he played against Pakistan in his debut match in Karachi. At the age of 16, he was selected to represent team Mumbi in Domestic matches and then he also played for India at international levels and continued to do so for 24 years.

In the year 2002, he was ranked as the second greatest text Batsman of all time by the Wisden, following Don Brad Man who took first place. He was also selected as the second-greatest ODI batsman after Viv Richards.

Sachin was also a part of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy. The great cricketer was also a member of the 2011 World Cup team which was their first World Cup win of his since he joined the team. That was his first win out of his six appearances for the world cup.

In the 2003 World Cup, the cricketer was named the “Player of the Tournament”.
Sachin Tendulkar received many awards from the Indian government for his excellence; he was awarded the Arjuna Award in 1994, and the Khel Ratna in 1997 following which he got his hands on the Padma Shri in 1998 and then the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

In 2013 Sachin played his last match and that was when the Prime Minister of India announced their decision of presenting Sachin with India’s Highest Civilian Award – the Bharat Ratna. And in 2021 he became the first ever sportsperson to receive the award and also the youngest to do so.

Another added accolade of his is when TIME Magazine included him in its 100 Most Influential People in the World list in 2010. The amazing cricketer also was awarded Sir Garfield Sobers in the year 2021 at the International Cricket Council Awards.

Having these many feathers in his cap, Sachin always remained the cricket fan’s favorite and will always remain in their hearts even if he had retired long ago. On the occasion of the former captain’s 50th birthday, his fans from across the world showered him with wishes and love.
