In Telangana, Prime Minister Modi blames the KCR government for widespread corruption.
Addressing a massive gathering in Warangal, Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the crucial role played by the state in the growth of the BJP. He proudly announced that the BJP has now become the largest political party worldwide and commended Telangana for its contribution to this achievement. The Prime Minister expressed his delight in witnessing the continuous expansion of the BJP in the region, evident from its impressive performance in the 2021 municipal corporation elections.
With the upcoming assembly elections, Prime Minister Modi exuded confidence in the BJP’s ability to outperform both the BRS and Congress parties decisively, thus solidifying its influence in the state. He emphasized the remarkable progress India has made in the past nine years, leading to increased global recognition and admiration for the country. Telangana, too, has reaped the benefits of this development with a surge in investments, surpassing previous levels, resulting in numerous employment opportunities for the youth of the state.

However, the Prime Minister labelled the KCR government as highly corrupt and highlighted four main actions of the state government. Firstly, he accused them of constantly criticizing and berating him and the Central Government. Secondly, he stated that they aimed on deciding control within a single family in an effort to become Telangana’s supreme authority. Thirdly, PM Modi criticized the government for hindering the economic progress of the state. Finally, he said that corruption had taken over the state and that almost every initiative in Telangana had been affected by claims of corruption.
PM Modi cautioned the people of Telangana about the ruling family, accusing them of being embroiled in scams and facing ongoing investigations. He urged the crowd to remain vigilant and not fall prey to their deceptive tactics. Slamming the BRS and Congress for their dynastic politics, the Prime Minister highlighted their corruption and warned that both parties were detrimental to the people of Telangana.
Additionally, PM Modi mentioned the Telangana State Public Service Commission scam and the prolonged wait for government recruitment faced by the state’s youth over the past nine years. He criticized the government for exploiting government jobs to benefit its leaders instead of serving the people.

The Prime Minister also discussed the efforts made by the central government to strengthen the rural economy, mentioning the allocation of over 1,30,000 crore rupees to paddy farmers through paddy procurement in the past nine years. He also highlighted the direct transfer of around Rs 9,000 crore to approximately 40 lakh farmers in Telangana through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Furthermore, PM Modi mentioned the crores of houses built under the PM Awas Yojana, which have contributed to the rural economy.
PM Modi emphasized the development schemes and initiatives taken for the upliftment of tribals, such as the establishment of Ekalavya Model Schools and the creation of Van Dhan Kendras.
Addressing the deceptive guarantees made by the opposition party, the Prime Minister asserted that the BJP does not distribute false guarantee cards to win elections. He gave the example of how if the BJP talks about providing free ration to every poor family, it ensures that the entire ration reaches the kitchen of the poor. Similarly, if BJP provides Ayushman Bharat cards, every poor family begins to receive free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
