In Hyderabad, the seasoned actor passed away at the age of 87.

At his home in Hyderabad, veteran Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away at the age of 87 on Friday morning. Since the time of NTR, when he first assumed the role of his dupe, the seasoned actor has been in more than 750 movies.

Legendary Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passes away at age 87.

He has acted as the protagonist, antagonist, and character in mythical movies as well as in family and societal dramas over the course of a multidecade career. He served as a Telugu Desam party representative in the 11th Lok Sabha. The Telugu cinema community paid tribute to the renowned actor on social media, unified in their grief.

Maruthi, a filmmaker, wrote “Legend Kaikala Satyanarayana garu, may you rest in peace. We will always miss you.”

In an homage to Kaikala Satyanarayana, actor-producer Ganesh wrote: “actor Kaikala Satyanarayana garu, a legend. RIP. May he rest in peace, his soul.”

In addition to his wife Nageswaramma Satyanarayana, Kaikala Satyanarayana is survived by two daughters and two sons.

Kaikala Satyanarayana ventured into production in addition to acting. Projects like Muddula Mogudu, Bangaru Kutumbam, and Kodama Simham, to name a few, were supported by his production company Rama Films. He received numerous honours, such as the 2017 Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to Telugu cinema and the Nandi Film Award from the government of Andhra Pradesh.

Supayi Koothuru, a 1959 movie directed by Changayya, was his debut performance. He appeared in Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani a year later. He also had a role in Kanaka Durga Pooja Mahima, when he made his debut as an adversary. The last time we saw Kaikala Satyanarayana was in the 2009 movie Arundhati.
