12 July 2022, PFI members tied to kill PM Narendra Modi at the Patna rally but they failed. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a raid in Karnataka 16 locations in Dakshina Kannada district. The ED (Enforcement Directorate), last year filed a case against PFI members, had said the PFI had conspired to target PM Modi during Patna’s visit. The NIA raids about this ED case and they arrested 4 PFI members.

The NIA detained 4 suspected from Kumbra, Kurnadka, Puttur, and Taripadpu villages. The arrested members are identified as Samshuddin Kurnadka, Faizal Ahmed, Sajjed Hussain, and Mohammed Haris Kumbra.

For a few years ED said that they got some suspicious activity in PFI funds and money uses but last year in 2022 ED give a remand notice against PFI member Shafeeque Payeth, who had said that conspired to target and kill PM Modi during a visit at Patna. ED claimed that PFI was also involved in terror activity and preparing other attacks.

 As per NIA sources, they conducted a raid at 16 locations with the help of local police and got many documents related to PFI.  Houses, offices, and hospitals linked to the activists of the banned PFI were searched simultaneously in Mangaluru as well as Puttur, Venur Bantwal, Beltangady, and Uppinangady

Popular Front of India (PFI) received money from Gulf Countries and they use money in terror activities in India. NIA and ED continue trying to break down on South India PFI Hawala Network.

In 2022, five PFI members are arrested from Patna and included in anti-national activities following raids in the area of Phulwari Sharif. NIA got many kinds of documents about Islamic conversion in India (Mission 2047), to radicalize the young generation, and PM Narendra Modi on their radar.

NIA sources believe that PFI is still active and they are running the agenda. PFI members can change their name and start another NGO to do their anti-India activity. NIA knew that there might be a possibility of a PFI network in Dakshin Kannada and they decided to raid 16 locations and suspenseful.
