In the midst of the election fervor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana,’ a flagship initiative by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday in Shirdi. During his visit to the region, Mr. Modi will not only unveil the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana’ but also dedicate several projects, including the new Darshan Queue Complex at the Sai Baba temple in Shirdi.

The Prime Minister’s agenda includes laying the foundation stone for multiple development projects amounting to a staggering Rs 7,500 crore across various sectors such as health, rail, road, and oil and gas.

A significant portion of the projects set to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister is concentrated in the north Maharashtra region, which comprises eight Lok Sabha seats. This region includes two seats in Ahmednagar district, two in Jalgaon, and two in Nashik district. Mr. Modi is expected to address the community regarding the region’s development progress over the past nine years, likely making a pitch for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes his arrival in Shirdi, located in the Ahmednagar District, around 1 pm. Here, he will perform religious rituals and seek blessings at the Sai Baba temple. Additionally, Mr. Modi will officially open the new Darshan Queue Complex within the temple premises.

Following this, he will be transported to the Nilwande dam via helicopter from Shirdi around 2:00 pm. There, he will participate in the ‘Jal Pujan’ (a water blessing ceremony) of Nilwande Dam at 2:15 pm and dedicate a canal network of the dam to the nation.

Around 3:15 pm, Mr. Modi is expected to return to Shirdi and address a public gathering. During this program, he will inaugurate and dedicate multiple projects, including the left bank canal network of the Nilwande Dam, extending 85 km. This network will benefit 182 villages in seven tehsils across Ahmednagar district and Nashik district. The project carries a significant price tag of approximately Rs 5,177 crore. Additionally, the Prime Minister will initiate the construction of several development projects by laying their foundation stones.

During this public program, the Prime Minister is set to launch the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana’. This initiative by the state government will provide an annual grant of Rs 6,000 to farmers in the state, potentially benefiting 85.60 lakh farmers. Additionally, Mr. Modi will distribute Ayushman cards and Svamitva cards to eligible recipients during this event.

The Central Railway (CR) officials have reported that the Prime Minister will dedicate projects worth Rs 877 crore, which include the 3rd and 4th railway lines connecting Jalgaon and Bhusawal (24.46 km) valued at Rs 640 crore, and the electrification of the Kurduwadi-Latur Road railway section (186 km) with a cost of Rs 237 crore.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Maternal and Child Health Wing at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital.
