Sargam Koushal of India is Mrs. World 2022 :
Sargam Kaushal previously worked as a teacher in Vizag and her husband was working in the Indian Navy, she revealed. Representing India, Sargam Kaushal was crowned Mrs. World at a gala event in Las Vegas today. Ms. Kaushal defeated contestants from 63 countries to reclaim the title for India after 21 years.The Mrs India pageants announced the news on Instagram, writing, “The long wait is over, the crown is back to us after 21 years!” Mrs. Kaushal was in tears after winning.
Jammu and Kashmir’s Sargam Kaushal also shared a video explaining how elated he was to win the title. “After 21-22 years, we got the crown again. I am very anxious though. Love you India, love you world,” said the newly crowned Mrs. World. According to Ms. Kaushal’s Instagram posts, she has a postgraduate degree in English literature. She previously worked as a teacher in Vizag and also shared that her husband is serving in the Indian Navy.
Mrs. World was the first beauty pageant for married women. The Mrs. America pageant inspired the creation of the pageant in 1984. Initially, the pageant was named Mrs. Women of the World. Mrs. World was given that name only in 1988. Over 80 countries have entered Mrs. World over the years, with America having the most winners. India has won the Mrs. World title only once in 2001 when Dr. Aditi Govitrikar bagged the title. Dr. Govitrikar is now Mrs. Judge for India Inc 2022-23.
Aditi Govitrikar also congratulated Mrs. Koushal on her achievement. Mrs Govitrikar tweeted, “Heartfelt congratulations @sargam3 @mrsindiainc.” Koushal competed in the final round wearing a pink centre slit glittery gown designed by Bhawna Rao and was mentored for the runway by pageant expert and model Alesia Raut.
