Amit Shah, the union home minister, was referred to as a “political chameleon” by former chief minister of Karnataka and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy, who also referred to the BJP as “Bari-Bootatike Party (one replete with hypocrisies).”

Tejasvi Surya, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), poked fun at Amit Shah on Monday after former chief minister of Karnataka and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy compared him to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. According to Surya, Kumaraswamy’s choice of a “unparliamentary word” reveals his “political dissatisfaction.”

“JDS Party is already a party in danger of extinction. JDS will disappear from Karnataka after the elections, according to sources citing Surya.

On Saturday, Kumaraswamy used Twitter to criticise Shah while the home minister was in Karnataka. The previous CM referred to him as a “political chameleon” and dubbed the BJP the “Bari-Bootatike Party” (a party full of hypocrisies).

“Your yapping lies have proven that the BJP-Bari Bootatike Party (a party full of hypocrisies) is a party of liars. You are a political chameleon, Amit Shah! This is how your party really looks. You’re Joseph Goebbels’ reincarnation. You’re disgusting,” tweeted Kumarawamy.

He also criticised Shah for using the term “ATM.” The home minister claimed that JDS and Congress are both involved in dynastic politics and are “corrupt pirates” at a rally in Mandya. According to Shah, while Congress reigned in the southern state, the area served as the “ATM in Delhi” for the grand old party, and when JDS was in power, Karnataka served as the ATM for the family. The home minister made the comments as part of the ongoing “Janasankalpa Yatre” of the state BJP.

In retaliation, Kumaraswamy tweeted that the JDS will become the “ATM of the crores of Kannadigas” if it were to win power in Karnataka. It will turn into the ATM for labourers, farmers, oppressed people, and disabled people.

“JDS is the ATM for the people. For us, ATM stands for Any Time Manushyatva (Humanity). It denotes Any Time Mosa to you (Cheating). Through your lies, you have compelled the country along the path of doom. Let’s ignore the national issue for now. Here is the Karnataka ATM for your party,” Kumaraswamy tweeted.

This year, elections will be held in Karnataka, and the BJP plans to run again.
