NETIZENS CALL THE DALAI LAMA A PAEDOPHILE AFTER A VIDEO SHOWED HIM ASKING A CHILD TO SUCK HIS TONGUE

“Dalai Lama” is in fact the name given to the Yellow Hat School of Tibetan Buddhism’s foremost spiritual leader. Tenzin Gyatso is the present and 14th Dalai Lama of the Yellow Hat School.
People look up to Dalai Lama as their idol and offer him prayers too. The Dalai Lama is considered as people’s spiritual leader and has so many devotees. His followers and Buddhism followers often visit Dalai Lama to get his blessings.
As usual, The Dalai Lama met a few students and his devotees a few days ago. But this time – he did something strange that made people question his holiness and his morals.
A video of Dalai Lama meeting his devotees spread and one particular video raised chaos. In a video, a child approached Dalai Lama, a boy in particular. The boy and Dalai Lama greeted each other and the Dalai Lama, as usual, gives the guy a hug and take a kiss from the boy. But after that something unexpected happened.
Dalai Lama who took a kiss from the boy was seen asking him to kiss him on the lips, following which he was also seen asking the boy to “suck” his tongue to which the boy was seen leaning back.
Out of the videos circulated – some have audio in which you can hear the Dalai Lama say “suck my tongue”. As soon as the video took its phase in circulating on the internet, the issue soon became big. People called out Dalai Lama for their unexplainable behaviour.
In the video, the people around were clapping and giggling and did not react to the Dalai Lama’s actions. But netizens are in full rage about the issue.
People called the Dalai Lama a paedophile for making the little boy uncomfortable. The people around the two during the incident were also given a lash by the netizens for encouraging the act with applause.
Shortly after the rage, the Dalai Lama addressed the issue and dropped a post on his official Twitter account. The post said that he wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, in the post he also referred to himself as the ‘holiness’ and added that he often teases people he meets in the same “innocent and playful” way.
The apologies made by the Dalai Lama did not lessen the rage and the tweet he made was replied to with people’s backlashes. Netizens expressed their disappointment and one of them wrote “Out of all the headlines I expected today, “Dalai Lama asks a child to suck his tongue” was definitely not on my list”.
